Comfort and safety are at the heart of our dog boarding care. All indoor kennel spaces feature rubber mat flooring rather than concrete, helping protect joints, bones, and skin. Our climate-controlled kennel is heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer, maintained at approximately 62° year-round using a powerful kennel AC system and heat pump. Dogs are brought inside at night and receive a special bedtime treat, ensuring they settle in comfortably.
Shady Hill Canine Camp is open every day for dogs to stay. Two homes are located on the property, with people living on-site to care for the dogs in our kennel. Visits for people who would like to see our lovely place are available by appointment only, allowing us to keep our focus on the dogs and maintain a calm, consistent routine.
We have over 25 years of experience providing dog boarding and care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and needs. We welcome senior dogs, young puppies, and dogs that require medication or special attention. Multiple run sizes allow us to accommodate individual dogs or multiple dogs from the same household, with some families able to stay together or in neighboring runs depending on size.
Shady Hill Canine Camp also offers daytime dog boarding care, which is especially helpful for visitors traveling to nearby Cougar or the Ape Caves, where dogs are not allowed. Grooming and nail trims are available by appointment only and may be seasonal depending on weather conditions.
